Samuel Ward Sixth Form uses an online system for our post-16 applications called eProspectus.
As we are located in Suffolk, but on the edge of Cambridgeshire, your application method depends on your current school.
Applications for September 2027 places opened on Thursday 1st October 2026, while the deadline for completion is Friday 5th February 2027.
Suffolk schools
Students currently attending Samuel Ward Academy, Castle Manor Academy, Stour Valley Community School or any other school in Suffolk should apply using the Suffolk version of eProspectus – www.suffolkfutures.co.uk.
To set up an account, click the ‘Login’ tab (top right) and then click ‘Sign Up’. There is a choice of account types, depending on your circumstance, with most applicants needing a ‘Local account’.

Cambridgeshire schools
Students currently attending a Cambridge Area Partnership (CAP) school (such as Linton Village College) will have the post-16 application process introduced to them by their teachers to provide an individual login.
To start an application, Cambridgeshire applicants should visit the Cambridgeshire version of eProspectus – mychoice16.co.uk.
Out of area applicants
For ‘out of area’ applications, we ask students living overseas or elsewhere in the UK to use the Suffolk version of eProspectus – www.suffolkfutures.co.uk
