Haverhill Community Sixth Form – public consultation and public meeting

We are delighted to launch a public consultation over plans to expand and redevelop our sixth form facilities.
The plans, designed by Wincer Kievenaar Architects, include new buildings to house dedicated sixth form seminar and teaching rooms, a sixth form café and garden area and a sixth form study room.
There will also be a new engineering block, a new art block, a dance studio and a music room.
The inspiration for the new development is Ruffle’s Mill, which once stood on Wratting Road, a few hundred metres from Samuel Ward, and achieved nationwide fame for its design.
While providing a fantastic learning environment for future students and staff, we also want to create something the whole local community can be proud of.
That is why we want you to share your views about our exciting plans.

Partners
We are delighted to be working with many partners on this project which will benefit students from Samuel Ward Academy, Castle Manor Academy and the wider education community.
We look forward to working closely with Haverhill Town Council, Suffolk County Council, West Suffolk Council, MENTA, The Epicentre, the Chamber of Commerce, ONE Haverhill Partnership and many more.

Public consultation and public meeting
A two-week public consultation has now been launched which will run until Wednesday 15th September.
In addition, we will be hosting a public meeting at Haverhill Community Sixth Form, based at Samuel Ward Academy, on Thursday 9th September between 6pm and 7pm.
Visitors will be given the chance to view the plans and talk to Andy Hunter, headteacher at Samuel Ward Academy, Daisy Hopkins, head of Haverhill Community Sixth Form, and representatives from the design team.
