Dear Parents and Carers,

Today further guidance was published by Ofqual as to how GCSE and A-level grades will be calculated and what information schools will need to provide as part of the process.

Please see the letter via the link below from Ofqual and take your time to read it through with your child(ren).

I would like to draw your attention to the section that says;

Can I see the grades my school/college submits for me?

No, this information will be confidential. Please don’t ask your teachers, or anyone else at your school or college, to tell you the grades they will be sending to the exam boards or where they have placed you in the order of students; they will not be allowed to share this with you.

I therefore politely request that staff are not contacted regarding predicted grades or the process. If you have any questions that are not addressed in the letter or guidance please do not hesitate to contact me.

I wish you and your family a safe and restful Easter break.

Yours faithfully,

Mr P Butterworth

Assistant Headteacher
